Our Story
Vulpine Taproom is a family-owned craft beer bar and bottle shop founded in 2021 by the Andersons—on a whim, with a dream, and a whole lot of love for beer and community. What started as a fun idea to serve our favorite brews turned into a community powered hot spot.
Originally meant to be called “Crow Bar,” the name Vulpine (meaning: like a fox) came after a local spot beat us to the punch. But with our love of foxes and desire for a fun mascot, the pivot turned into something perfect — Vulpine was born. A home for the curious, the creative, and the community.
The Vulpine Experience
Cozy and inviting. At Vulpine, we believe in conversation over screens, connection over noise. That’s why there are no TVs—just good beer, great company, and the occasional record spinning in the background.
We host regular events like trivia, vinyl record nights, board game days, and community art days to give everyone a chance to unplug and possibly meet someone new! Our taps rotate fast—if you drop in every two weeks, you’ll likely see a whole new lineup. We also serve our signature Foxtails (fox-themed cocktails) and a thoughtful food menu built around many house-made ingredients.
Rooted in Community
Located in the upper parking lot of the Lake Forest Park Town Center, we’re proud to call this a third place community hotspot. We hand pick from breweries located all around the Seattle area, the Greater Washington state and if something is really special, even from the East Coast! We want to showcase the best beer around, always choosing quality. We also support causes close to our hearts—like Obliteride, a cancer awareness bike ride partnered with Fred Hutch & Local 104—and we love hosting art markets, paint & sips, and seasonal events!
Meet the Team
- Josh – The heartbeat of Vulpine. Wood crafter, host, and people-person who brings the charm to everything we do.
- Brian “Dad” – Marine vet, homebrew enthusiast, and helped build Vulpine literally from the ground up
- Tess “Mom” – Leads behind the scenes, lending a warm helping hand whenever she can.
- “Nova” Thomas – Our food program manager, crafting our Vulpine bites from scratch.
- Travis – Our beer program manager. He works closely with breweries to ensure every tap is something worth sipping.
- Moxie – Makes our social media, ensuring the world sees what we’re up to—one post, one pic, and one reel at a time.
